Hi, I’m Michelle, owner of Little Buds, mother to four boys!

I’ve been a car seat technician since 2006 when I realised the importance and lack of knowledge surrounding car seats. During that time I’ve worked for many organisations including Baby City and Plunket.   

I opened a baby shop in 2012 (hence where the name Little Buds comes from) but closed it again in 2015 after not spending enough time with my then young family, since closing the shop I’ve been concentrating on car seats from my home in Whanganui.

This brought about our wonderful staff ....

Catherine, out technician who is based in Feilding, Catherine became a car seat technician in 2016, her passion about keeping your kids safe in car seats is strong and she only wants to see your children safe.

Niketa is our lovely staff member in Raetihi. Niketa herself has six busy children and once again sees the safety of children in car seats important - Niketa does a wonderful job in our local rural areas.

Rowena, our technician in Woodville. Rowena and her husband own Agnew Service Centre is Woodville. Along with working at the garage Rowena has two children and her knowledge and passion of carseats is growing by the day!

Hannah, is our wonderful technician in Palmerston North. Hannah is a wealth of knowledge in just about any car seat and has a stomach of steel (she cleans all the gross seats). Hannah is mum to one precious child and is happy to share her car seat knowledge around the region.

Coral is our Levin Tech who qualified early 2024 after sparking a passion when keeping her own 2 children safe. Coral realised there was a need for a technician in her community and is extremely passionate about keeping kids safe when on our roads and educating families about all things around carseat safety. When Coral isn’t juggling Child Restraints or being a Mum to her girls you will find her riding horses or with her animals.

Pippa, our Taumarunui technician was the last to join. Pippa has a huge passion to help her community, she’s mum to one princess (who has multiple car seats).

We will install any car seat (as long as it is not expired) and will do our best to work with you. We have kept our fee low to install seats from our homes by appointment to ensure that safety is affordable. If you purchase a seat from Little Buds it comes with a free install.
